Maria Valtorta-The Authoritative Websites
Valtorta conferences are important events for the discussion, sharing, and promotion of Maria Valtorta’s writings throughout the world. Conferences are an opportunity for scholars and experts to give talks about their research into Maria Valtorta’s writings, her history, and the impact her writings have, are having, and will have on the hundreds of thousands of readers in dozens of countries around the world. It is also an opportunity for Valtorta readers to gather together and share their mutual love of Valtorta and her writings, as well as their insights and experiences. First Vatican Council, Session IV, Chp. IV, p.IX: "So, then, if anyone says that the Roman Pontiff has merely an office of supervision and guidance, and not the full and supreme power of jurisdiction over the whole Church, and this not only in matters of faith and morals, but also in those which concern the discipline and government of the Church dispersed throughout the whole world; or that he has only the principal part, but not the absolute fullness, of this supreme power; or that this power of his is not ordinary and immediate both over all and each of the Churches and over all and each of the pastors and faithful: let him be anathema." - Catechism of the Catholic Church, 883 - "The college or body of bishops has no authority unless united with the Roman Pontiff, Peter's successor, as its head." Maria Valtorta's writings received Imrimaturs from Bishop Roman Danylak (Titular Bishop of Nysea, Rome), Bishop Bonicilli (Abano, Italy) and Archbishop Soosa Pakiam of Trimandrum. In addition a Nihil Obstat was given to the "Poem of the Man-God" by Msgr. Luigi Lovazzano (Vicar-General). If the Vatican thought these Imprimaturs were in error, it would have requested them to be removed. Nonetheless, the Vatican has let these Imprimaturs stand. Renowned Mariologist Father Gabriel Roschini, OSM was an outstanding advocate of Maria Valtorta's writings. Pope John Paul II often referred to Father Gabriel M. Roschini as one of the greatest Marioligists who ever lived. He was a decorated professor at the "Marianum" Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Rome, and an advisor to the Holy Office. He wrote over 130 Books on the Blessed Mother, all of which are in the Vatican Library. In his last book (which Father Gabriel said was his greatest, "The Virgin Mary In The Writings of Maria Valtorta"), the first two pages contain a letter of endorsement by Pope Paul VI. Page one displays a photocopy of the original letter in Italian complete with Vatican insignia, and page two contains the English translation. When Pope Paul VI was Archbishop of Milan, after evaluating "The Poem of the Man-God" by Maria Valtorta, He ordered her entire works to be sent to the Milan Seminary library.

The Centro Editorial Valtortiano (CEV), or Valtorta Publishing Center, was established in 1985 by Dr. Emilio Pisani, the son of Michele Pisani (1896-1963), who was the first publisher of "The Poem of the Man-God" by Maria Valtorta. |

According to an article in Spirit Daily: Maria Valtorta's Beatification cause was accepted in the Congregation of Saints On January 12, 2012 - Michael Brown of Spirit Daily reported that Father José Antonio Fortea Cucurull (a well-known exorcist from the Diocese of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid, Spain) that he was informed in Rome that Maria Valtorta is up for Beatification: "Her cause was accepted in the Congregation of Saints." However, this claim has not been confirmed by official sources.

Vatican Website Article Which Mentions Maria Valtorta and the Poem of the Man-God
Vatican Website Translation: "In the first half of the 20th Century, during and after World War II, there was a lady named Maria Valtorta in Italy, who saw and heard the Gospel, writing a masterpiece in more than 4000 pages of works (calculated according to the English version: Maria Valtorta, "The Poem of the Man-God", 1986, five volumes). The book is divided into seven parts: 1st, the Hidden Life 1-43; 2nd, the first year of His Public Life 44-140; 3rd, the second year of His Public Life 141-311; 4th, the third year of His Public Life 312-538; 5th, the preparation for His suffering and death 539-598; 6th, the Passion 599-611; 7th, Glorification 612-647. In the first volume, "The Hidden Life", 43 chapters have been translated into Chinese and published in 2006. Hopefully, the rest of the Chinese version will continue to be published in succession, to help God’s faithful savor the message of the Gospel."

Special Note: Chinese Catholics have a very special place in their hearts for Maria Valtorta's "Poem of the Man-God" as it was promulgated by Renowned Bible Scholar Fr. Gabriel M. Allegra, O.F.M.. Fr. Allegra is highly revered by Chinese Catholics for being the very first to translate the entire Catholic Bible into Chinese (for every one person who speaks English, there are five who speak Chinese). The cause for Fr. Allegra's Canonization was started in 1984 by Bishop John Wu in Hong Kong, 8 years after his death. He was declared venerable by the Holy See in 1994 and his decree of beatification was promulgated in 2002 by Pope John Paul II. The Roman Curia announced through the Sicilian Franciscan Holy Name Province, that Venerable Gabriel Allegra, O.F.M. was beatified on September 29, 2012, at the Cathedral of Arcireale, Catania in Sicilia. Gabriel Allegra is the only biblical scholar of the 20th century who has been beatified. |

“Maria Valtorta: "Peter’s tomb is not in the Vatican”
Has Heaven set up the Revelations to Maria Valtorta for yet another a major public demonstration of authenticity? If the tomb of Saint Peter is really in the Torpignattara catacomb (catacombs of St. Peter and St. Marcellinus in Via Casilina in Rome) where Maria Valtorta was told by Heaven it was, rather than in Vatican Hill, it would probably be the biggest archaeological find in the history of Christianity.

Pope Pius XII's Command to Publish Maria Valtorta’s Main Work (February 26, 1948)
A high-ranking prelate personally handed Pope Pius XII a 12-volume typewritten copy of the Poem of the Man-God in 1947. In the following months, the priest who was in charge of postal delivery directly to Pope Pius XII’s desk saw the bookmark in Valtorta’s writings on his desk moving forward day by day. After these volumes were evaluated by the Pope, he granted a special audience with the three Servites of Mary in charge of this work: Fr. Corrado M. Berti, O.S.M., Fr. Romualdo M. Migliorini, and Fr. Andrew M. Cecchin. At this audience, as Bishop of Rome and the Vicar of Christ, Pope Pius XII commanded them to publish it, saying: “Publish it just as it is. There is no need to give an opinion as to whether it is of supernatural origin. Those who read it will understand.” Father Berti testifies: “I asked the Pope if we should remove the inscriptions: ‘Visions’ and ‘Dictations’ from The Poem before publishing it. And he answered that nothing should be removed.” Frs. Berti, Migliorini, and Cecchin documented the Pope’s words immediately afterwards. Fr. Berti’s signed testimony is located in Isola del Liri, Italy (and is also viewable online). Pope Pius XII’s audience with these three priests was also historically documented the next day, February 27, 1948, in the Vatican’s newspaper L’Osservatore Romano.

What is the Position of the Church on Maria Valtorta’s Main Work?
The latest (and currently juridically binding) position of the Church is represented by the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith’s decision in 1992 to explicitly give permission to Dr. Pisani at the Centro Editoriale Valtortiano (the publishing house of Maria Valtorta’s works) to continue publishing her work as it is without any needed modifications to the text. Thus, the Church has given permission to the publisher to publish Valtorta’s The Gospel as Revealed to Me (also known as The Poem of the Man-God) and has given the faithful permission to read it. This action and permission also implicitly acknowledges that the work is free from error in faith and morals and may be safely read by the faithful.

Fr. Anthony Pillari published a JCL thesis for the Faculty of Canon Law of St. Paul University entitled “The Current Juridic and Moral Value of the Index of Forbidden Books”. This thesis gives the history of the Index of Forbidden Books, explains the current juridic and moral status of the Index of Forbidden Books after its abrogation by Pope Paul VI in 1966, and includes a case study analyzing and explaining the canonical status of the major work of Maria Valtorta. The Maria Valtorta case study demonstrates that when a person chooses to read, publish, or promote Maria Valtorta’s The Poem of the Man-God (now entitled The Gospel as Revealed to Me), there is no violation of ecclesiastical law. It also analyzes the relevant letters of Cardinal Ratzinger, Bishop Tettamanzi, Bishop Kindukulam, and Bishop Danylak, and shows that a Catholic may express belief in the supernatural origin of Valtorta’s work and promote it as such without being in violation of ecclesiastical law or being guilty of any form of disobedience. Fr. Pillari’s thesis also details the admiration that three beatified persons have publicly expressed concerning Valtorta’s work (including Blessed Allegra’s belief in its supernatural origin) and that their beatification invites Catholics to respect and share their opinion concerning Valtorta’s work, even in some ways above the private opinions of Church officials who have not been raised to the level of beatification. Of special significance in this thesis is the inclusion of a signed testimonial letter of Fr. Leo Maasburg, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies in Austria and a close associate of St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta. Fr. Maasburg’s testimonial relates that Mother Teresa carried Maria Valtorta’s The Poem of the Man-God with her in her travels, read this work, and recommended him to also read it.

Maria Valtorta: Science and Faith Converge (Zenit News)
The life and works of the mystic of Viareggio have been examined by international scholars who have pointed out the astonishing agreement between her visions and the times of Jesus (October 27, 2016 Rita Ricci: Church & Religion). Many wonder who Maria Valtorta is and why her life and her writings capture so much attention, and it is precisely for those who are still unaware of her that the Valtorta Foundation has organized a first international conference to become familiar with the prodigies of the mystic of Viareggio, who is known in the United States, Canada, Europe, Oceania, Australia, as well as Italy, where she lived until her death, in 1961. A two-day conference, on October 22 and 23, 2016, to get to know her work L’Evangelo come mi è stato rivelato [The Gospel as Revealed to Me], which recounts the life of Jesus, of his mother, Mary, and of all the apostles, in a clear and simple way, and enriched with more facts than the canonical Gospels of Luke, John, Matthew, and Mark. Certain aspects were examined in particular: the astronomical and geological data that scientifically correspond between Valtorta’s narrative and the skies of two thousand years ago, as attested by NASA programs. And it is precisely the scientific data that amazes and captures our attention. Many scientists over the course of the years – astronomers, physicists, and geologists – have approached her work, at first with the intention of contesting it, but in the end being fascinated and astounded by the vividness of her descriptions, which meticulously illustrate the climatic conditions of those days, the many places in the Holy Land that are unknown to most people, and the movements of the stars and planets that shone at that time in the skies, all of which have been scientifically proven.

Discovering the “Gospel” of Maria Valtorta (Zenit News)
Don Ernesto Zucchini illustrates the most surprising aspects of the life of the mystic of Viareggio to whom, on October 22 and 23, [2016,] will be dedicated an international conference (October 16, 2016, Rita Ricci: Church & Religion). For the first time in Italy, on October 22 and 23, [2016,] an international conference will be dedicated to the study and knowledge of Maria Valtorta. ZENIT has attempted to reconstruct the story of the visionary from Viareggio and to understand why, 55 years after her death, people still examine her life. We have talked with Don Ernesto Zucchini, the 70-year old president of the Fondazione Maria Valtorta [the Maria Valtorta Foundation], professor of theology since 2009 at the Scuola di Formazione Teologica [School of Theological Training] of the diocese of Massa Carrara, the main speaker in a Radio Maria broadcast on the mystic, and parish priest at Pontremoli, in the province of Massa Carrara and in four other, neighbouring localities.

Astronomical details in Maria Valtorta's writings have been proven strikingly accurate. Harvard educated Theoretical Physicist Lonnie Lee VanZandt upon reading "The Poem of the Man-God" observed that in March of year 0033 Valtorta recorded in one of her visions seeing Jupiter, Mars, Venus and "stars of Orion: of Rigil and Betelgeuse, of Aldebaran, of Perseus, Andromeda & Cassiopeia and the Pleiades" along with a waning moon in the night sky. Using a complex Astronomical computer program, Professor VanZandt conducted a stellar excursion into the distant past and discovered that this was only possible for two days in March of 0033. This astronomical scenario doesn't occur for many decades (before and after) those two days in March, 0033. Moreover, VanZandt uncovered several other similar astronomical conformations. It would have been unfeasible for anyone in the 1940's to be capable of determining these astronomical alignments. These impossibly exact details "tax the credulity of even the immovable atheist more than the alternative that Jesus showed it to Valtorta. In the words of Sherlock Holmes, when you eliminated the impossible, that which remains, however merely improbable, must be true" (Theoretical Physicist Professor Lonnie Lee VanZandt).

Researcher David J. Webster observed that Maria Valtorta named nine towns and villages that were not discovered until after her death. He authored a landmark 31 page article that fundamentally proves the authenticity of Maria Valtorta's writings. The "Poem of the Man-God" may be the very first Private Revelation ever to be scientifically proven genuine. David meticulously and methodically examines Maria Valtorta’s strikingly accurate descriptions of first Century Palestine for every piece of topographical evidence. He then compares this evidence with currently known facts that are only now being proven authentic. He has a charisma reminiscent of John the Baptist. "Over thirty percent or 79 of the 255 geographical sites in Palestine mentioned in the Poem were not listed in the 1939 International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (ISBE) Atlas. 62 of these 79 were not even listed in the 184 page Macmillan Bible Atlas (MBA) published in 1968. Where did Maria Valtorta get all these names? For a first century eye-witness to include so many obscure and unknown names would, of course, be expected. And most surprising is that these names, obscure and unknown in the 1940’s, are being proven authentic. 52 of these 62 have no biblical reference whatever and 17 of these with no biblical reference have been either indirectly confirmed as authentic by recent "ancient external sources" found in the Macmillan Bible Atlas (1968) or actually listed in the HarperCollins Atlas of the Bible (1989). This makes a total of 29 confirmations since the 1939 ISBE atlas listing. Also among those 62 sites are mentioned the ruins of 6 ancient Palestinian cities some corresponding to the modern consensus on location. In addition, Valtorta’s precise descriptions of the natural topography of Palestine from numerous locations and the information about the outside pagan world of that day, including people, places, customs, Greek and Roman mythology, related in the conversations of that day, are strikingly correct." |

We are very appreciative to Medjugorje.com for writing a letter to Bishop Boland concerning Maria Valtorta, particularly worded: "I am a close friend of Marija Pavlovic, one of the Visionaries in Medjugorje, and there is no question that she spoke to Our Lady and asked Her if one can read the Poem of the Man-God. Our Lady answered that it was acceptable to read." In response, Cardinal Boland stated he sequentially wrote Cardinal Ratzinger, whom he claimed replied requesting the Publisher to include a disclaimer. The Publisher was willing to comply, provided Boland forwarded a copy of the original Cardinal Ratzinger letter. Boland was never forthcoming in providing anyone a copy of this letter. Moreover, only Boland's eyes seen the Cardinal Ratzinger letter in question. The publisher was hesitant, particularly due to the pedophile controversy Boland was becoming increasingly entangled in:

Many have even reverted to modifying Mary's phraseology to conform with human critical philosophical viewpoints. Fortunately, there are a few websites dedicated to Medjugorje that have remained loyal to Mary's Divine Wisdom; Mej.com, Medjugorje.eu, Medjugorje.org and MedjugorjeWeible.com. When the Ten Secrets begin to unfold and final Miracles take place, people will be aware of the Valtorta confirmations through these sites that persevered in loyalty to Our Holy Mother's Heavenly knowledge. |

The Poem of the Man-God posted online in Tagalog
(Filipino) Before the end of the 80’s my wife received a copy of a certain magazine published in English, whereby chapter by chapter of Maria Valtorta’s “The Poem of the Man-God” was published on a regular basis. My wife did not know why she was receiving it or who was sending it. Nevertheless, I found it intriguing that the things I was reading were not in the Bible: I mean the Bible has them, but not in those details! In short I got hooked, that I looked for the original books so that my reading would be complete, from beginning to end. And I found them, just in our neighborhood, just a block away from our house, in our parish church: our good parish priest lent them to me for Xeroxing. This translation in the Philippine national language Tagalog, also called Filipino, is the outcome of receiving that magazine sent by an unknown sender. For you: thank you! |

"To The Priests Our Lady's Beloved Sons" of The Marian Movement of Priests may be the most important book to be reading in our times! This book can be ordered for free from the below link, but please give them a donation for this Ministry if you can. Reading this book can not be over emphasized! There are many correlations in Father Stefano Gobbi's Locutions to Maria Valtorta's writings. For example, in the August 1st Locution Mary reveals that "'Mother!' was His last agonizing cry, the loud cry with which He expired on the Cross" Maria Valtorta writes in Book 5, Chapter 605, The Crucifixion: "...and then a powerful cry, unimaginable in that exhausted body, bursts forth rending the air, the 'loud cry' mentioned by the Gospels and is the first part of the word 'Mother' And nothing else" |

Father Patrick Maritn |
Father Patrick Martin is a Blind Priest who gives seminars in Parishes all over the world, spoke of his gratitude for the Text-To-Speech (TTS) Mp3 audio format of the Poem for the blind and visually impaired, which he called a "wonderful gift". Previously he was only able to listen to Maria Valtorta's writings whenever another Priest was able to read them to him.

Perhaps the most predominant controversy pertaining to the Medjugorje Apparitions transpired from the explicit approval given by Our Lady (via several of the visionaries) to a series of detailed supernatural Gospel narratives recorded by a bedridden woman Maria Valtorta of the third Carmelite Order during the 1940’s entitled "The Gospel as it was Revealed to Me" (later renamed by the Publisher to "The Poem of the Man-God". This endorsement by Our Lady developed into a highly controversial lightening rod, as the first book of this originally ten volume Italian series (five volume English series) was placed on the Index of Forbidden books in 1959. "America's Finest Hour" is a nationwide prayer campaign designed to save America from the evil that is sweeping across our land. The list of evil is long but the most profound crimes against God and humanity are abortion, same sex marriage, religious persecution, and the corruption of our youth.
